The quickest way to waste money with AI

When speed becomes the problem, not the solution!

One of the biggest myths about AI is that it automatically makes things faster.

Sure, it can. But speed in the wrong direction? That’s just wasting money more quickly.

We see this happen all the time:

  • A founder builds an AI-driven content process… without fixing the messaging first

  • A team automates lead follow-up… without improving the offer it’s promoting

  • A business wires together 10 different tools… without streamlining the steps they actually need

The result?

Faster output, but the same broken system.

Here’s the uncomfortable truth:

AI amplifies whatever you already have, good or bad.

If your process is inefficient, AI makes it inefficient at scale.

If your system has bottlenecks, AI just gets you to the bottleneck quicker.

Action step for today:

Before adding AI to a process, ask yourself:

  1. Is this process already producing the right result?

  2. Is every step necessary?

  3. Can I remove or simplify anything first?

Only once you can answer “yes” to #1 and #2, and “no” to #3… should you be thinking about automation.

That’s the difference between businesses that get actual ROI from AI… and those that just end up with faster chaos.
